Jorge Ordóñez Selections – Fine Estates from Spain, Inc. is a family owned and operated exclusive national agent and importer of Spanish wines servicing the United States & Puerto Rico. Founded in 1987 by Jorge Ordóñez, our company was the first national specialty importer of Spanish wines that introduced the wines of Spain to the United States at a time when less than a dozen labels of large commercial brands were being commercialized in the US.
Since then, Jorge personal crusade has been to seek out and preserve Spain’s rich multi-millennial history of viticulture and winemaking. Jorge Ordóñez Selections is being led into the next generation by Monica & Victor Ordóñez – Jorge’s children who look forward to advancing the quality and position of Spain’s top wines in the North American marketplace.

100% Hondarrabi Zuri from the Getariako Txakolina region of Pais Vasco, Spain. Txomin is one of the most prevalent winemakers in the Basque Country, they were one of the major drivers of setting up the DOs within Pais Vasco
Taste Profile: Pale yellow with fine floral aromas. Fine and persistent carbonic acid and on the palate it is fruity, fresh and round. Good acidity and pale yellow color.
Winemaking Process: To achieve the desired result, the white sparkling wine from Txomin Etxaniz is aged for 36 months, 24 months in vats and at least 12 months in the bottle before going on the market.
2022 Txomin Etxaniz Rose, Getariako Txakolina, Spain $18.99
In Getaria, History and tradition, land and sea, txakoli and fishing come together in perfect harmony, and represent the essence and personality of this historic txakoli winery.
This is a blend of 60% Hondarrabi Beltza 40% Hondarrabi Zuri from the Basque Country, Spain.
Taste Profile: This rosé is a zesty zinger, made predominantly from local variety red Hondarrabi Beltzer. Whilst traditional Txakoli can be lightly effervescent, this one shows just a hint of spritz, that melds beautifully with the acidity to create a dry, refreshing rosé of great character and personality. Lime leaf, sour cherry and green apple mixed with a chalky finish. Delicious.
Winemaking Process: The grapes are grown in vineyards located along the rugged coastline of the Bay of Biscay and are hand harvested to ensure the highest quality fruit. After being macerated for 12 hours on the skins, the juice is fermented in stainless steel tanks using indigenous yeasts to preserve the unique character of the wine. The maturation happens on lees until bottling.
2023 Avancia Cuvee De O Godello, Valdeorras, Spain $27.99
Cuvée de O Godello expresses the freshest expression of the Valdeorras' unique slate soils and indigenous clones of Godello. Sur lie ageing and used large format barrel fermentation impart a weight and complexity to Cuvée de O that sets it apart from other young Godellos
2023 Muga El Anden De La Estacion Crianza, Rioja, Spain $21.99
El Andén de la Estación, a name which pays homage to the train station that was responsible for shipping wine from Rioja to Bordeaux during the phylloxera, was born out of the family's desire to produce a traditional style classically gastronomic Rioja Crianza, with a profile showcasing the Muga signature complemented by a youthful and fresh profile.
2020 Bodegas Breca Garnacha, Calatayud, Spain $19.99
An authentic wine produced from the original Garnacha, which was first cultivated in Aragón in the 7th Century, and spread around Europe by the Medieval Kingdom of Aragón. Calatayud produces a unique expression of Garnacha due to its geographic and climactic conditions. As Spain's highest altitude region for the production of Garnacha, the temperature swings are radical - up to 60°F in the summer. This produces wines with deep color and character, as well as lively acidity. The wine is characterized by aromas of ripe black fruit, overlaid with spices such as black pepper. There is an obvious minerality to the wine, proceeding from vineyards' diverse range of soil types.
NV Alvear Amontillado Carlos Vii Sherry, Spain (375ml)
Light chestnut bright gold color. Pungent and complex bouquet, inimitable nutty and dried fig deep flavor and character, both soft and strong. Silky dry on palate with a long, complex and elegant finish.
The Carlos VII is an Amontillado that has been aging for more than 15 years in a traditional "Solera System" during and after the flor, gaining complexity and full round aromas while retaining the freshness of its origins as a Fino. An harmonious blend of finesse, elegance and age.
