2020 Gerard Bertrand Cremant de Limoux Brut Rose, Languedoc, France $21.99
Winemaker Notes:Crémant Thomas Jefferson Rosé boasts a beautiful, salmon-pink robe with glimmering reflections. A complex bouquet with long-lasting aromas of red fruit (strawberry and raspberry), backed with hints of toasted bread. Delicate bubbles and an extraordinary vivacity on the palate, with a rich, indulgent texture.
Perfect served accompanying delicately smoked fish, both savory and sweet or spicy dishes, or even with red fruit desserts.

2022 Jean Reverdy Sancerre Rose, Loire Valley, France $28.99
The wine shows a pale salmon pink color and offers delicate aromas of roses and orange blossom that will develop into gooseberry and peach blossoms as the temperature in the glass rises.

2022 Le Garenne Sancerre Blanc, Loire Valley, Fance $29.99
Garenne’s Sancerre is Sauvignon Blanc in its purest form. Grown on a combination of flint, clay, and limestone soils, it’s prototypical Sancerre – no oak, crisp minerality, lovely dry fruit. The 2022 growing season was relatively uneventful in the Loire (a break from recent hardships), and the resulting wines embody the carefree nature of the vintage.

The 2022 Sancerre blanc from Garenne is simply delicious. It’s not as rich as the baked 2020 vintage, nor as piercing as last year’s 2021 – it treads a Goldilocks’ path with tremendous success. The nose has grapefruit and stones, alongside hints of white flowers and chalk. The mouth is easy, crisp, and delicious with dry fruit and a vibrant finish – everything you want in a weeknight Sancerre.

2021 Castelmaure Corbieres Col des Vents, France $16.99
From the importer, Fran Kysela, MS: "Col des Vents" means "Windy Mountain Pass" as it is quite windy and located at the foothills of the Pyrenees mountains. Brambly berry, cherry and raspberry, spices, black pepper ... all are present in this authentic French country wine. There are also some aromas of Garrigue (Rosemary, thyme and lavender) giving a minty, herbal notes, that are quite refreshing as well. 50% Carignan, 30% Grenache, 15% Syrah and 5% Cinsault.

2021 Jean Athaud Morgon Cote Du Py, Beaujolais, France $28.99
In the heart of the Crus area of Beaujolais, wines of “Morgon” AOC are often described as best representing the character of their terroir. The appellation is dominated by a hill called Mont du Py. Its soil of decomposed schist gives typical aromas to the wines. French winemakers usually describe this particularity in a verb: “morgonner”, be like a Morgon. This Morgon Côte du Py is produced on this hill peaking at 300m above sea-level. The selected parcels are very sunny, on south-oriented steep slopes.

Deep ruby in color, this wine offers a complex nose, mineral and fruity. It mingles aromas of ripe raspberry, black and morello cherries with hints of flint, ink, clove and black pepper. The highly vibrant palate has a sound underlying structure which is powerful yet velvety, thanks to tannins which, despite mellowing, are still very perceptible. This is a stylish wine bearing the hallmarks of its terroir with a long and spicy finish.

2020 Le Garenne Chinon, Loire Valley, France $21.99
This blend of 100% Cabernet Franc offers you a memorable moment of conviviality. An unoaked Chinon with youthful wild berry fruit and plum cream perfume, fragrant floral aromas, supple chalky tannins and a refreshing Cabernet Franc tang on the long finish. Perfect match for everyday dishes such as pasta with an herby tomato sauce, Rib Steak over Arugula Salad or a simply grilled lamb chop.
