Presqu’ile (‘press-keel’) is a family-owned winery in the Santa Maria Valley dedicated to crafting exceptional, cool-climate Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Syrah from Santa Barbara County.

About Lioco: The focus is on Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Carignan from sites with older vines, interesting soil, and heritage clones. Sometimes the hunt for Pinot Noir uncovers other treasures like a coastal Syrah vineyard or a rare, mid-century planting of Valdiguie. Room is made for such discoveries.

2022 Lioco Chardonnay, Sonoma, California $30.99
This early-picked fruit had brilliant chemistry, as drought vintage fruit often does, and deeply concentrated flavors. Since 2019 we have been declassifying barrels of Chardonnay from top tier LIOCO cuvees into this wine. SoCo will always be defined by its mouth watering, steely freshness ala the Louis Michel Chablis that inspired it, but the barrel fermented additions have added complexity and mouth feel without any trace of oakiness.
AROMA:  tangerine oil, fresh fennel frond, shale.  FLAVOR:  lemon custard, river stone, fresh thyme

2023 Presqu'ile Gamay Nouveau, Santa Maria, California $25.99
A true Gamay Nouveau that really does this style of winemaking justice. 100% estate grown Gamay Noir from Presqu'ile Vineyard in the cool, coastal region of Santa Maria Valley. Partial carbonic fermentation in stainless steel, before a short 3 week elevage in neutral French oak. Crunchy, bright, wonderfully floral and soft.

2022 Presqu'ile Pinot Noir, Santa Barbara, California $29.99
Presqu'ile's Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir provides a beautiful look into just how well this grape thrives in the region’s soils. Lifted notes of bing cherries, rose hips, dried orange rind, and sandalwood dominate the wine’s earth-driven palate.

2022 Lioco Pinot Noir, Mendocino County, California $29.99
AROMA: Bing cherry, rose petal, iron.  FLAVOR: black raspberry, dried tobacco, lilac
Seems these California vines are inoculated against extreme weather events--especially the more mature vineyards in the Potter Valley. The 2022 Mendo Pinot is a wide aperture view of the county-- with fruit from four disparate AVAs: Potter Valley, Yorkville Highlands, Anderson Valley, and Comptche. It shows the typicity of this diverse region which reads like a love letter to Mendocino County stained with brambly coastal berries, pine resin, and blue florals.

2022 Lioco Indica Red, Mendocino County, California $27.99
The exceptional fruit quality and small clusters characteristic of the vintage enticed us to do 75% whole cluster, with two tanks going through carbonic maceration. Further, we pressed the juice off the tannic skins early and "went to barrel sweet" to highlight the crunchy freshness of this wine. The result is chillable, medium weight red that reminds of us Cote de Brouilly, but is unabashedly Californian.
AROMA: black plum, mulberry, wild sage.  FLAVOR:  bing cherry, violet, rosemary

2022 Presqu'ile Syrah, Santa Barbara, California $29.99
This juicy and concentrated Syrah from our estate vineyard is loaded with flavors of blackberries, sappy plums, cracked black pepper, dried herbs, and briny olives.
