Jeffrey Alpert Selections is a French-wine-only import company started in 2000.
Our love of wine evolved into a love of natural wines and over the years, our palate has taken us into the direction of wines of the terroir. We are now dedicated to introducing French producers who are just as passionate about their land as they are about their wines. They treat the vine with the utmost respect and care, so that their products simply convey the richness of their terroir with no unnecessary additives.

The Wines
2022 Clos Constantin "Strate" White, Lanquedoc, France $41.99
Clos Constantin is located in Argelliers, on the Terrasses du Larzac in Languedoc . It was founded in 2017 by Pierre Halley and Samuel Durand , through the acquisition of the vineyard of Pierre's great-grandfather, Constantin. They cultivate 15 hectares of vines certified organic , and in conversion to biodynamics. The plots, located between 200 and 230 meters above sea level, benefit from a refreshing microclimate that mitigates the effects of the Mediterranean climate.
Strate is a blend of Grenache Blanc, Grenache Gris and Vermentino . The wine is aged for 12 months in demi-muids .
Grape varieties: Grenache Blanc, Grenache Gris, Vermentino
"Pure minerality. Strate 2023 displays a taut, saline palate with subtle aromas of white fruit, fine herbs, and warm stone. Aging in demi-muids adds a beautiful depth without masking the Vermentino's vibrant freshness."
2023 Jeremy Arnaud Les Veuillots Ovoide, Burgundy, France $50.99
From the stony, clay-limestone parcels of Les Veuillots in Mâconnais-adjacent Burgundy, Jérémy Arnaud ferments and ages this cuvée in concrete ovoids—amphora-like vessels that keep lees in constant suspension without imparting oak. The 2023 shows taut, cool-climate Chardonnay character: citrus oil, green apple, white flowers, and a fine, chalk-etched mineral line. Texture is sleek yet subtly lees-inflected, finishing long and saline. A precise, contemporary Bourgogne Blanc where site transparency meets the quiet energy of ovoïde élevage.
2023 Domaine du Petit Bonhomme “Pipelettes” Rosé, Provence, France $29.99
Grapes: Grenache Noir, Grenache Blanc, Syrah
Domaine du Petit Bonhomme Pipelettes is a natural rosé wine. Named after children who love to chatter and just never want to stop. Pirate Style Rosé of a special kind made from Syrah, Grenache Blanc and some Grenache Noir. Direct pressing, spontaneous and natural fermentation and aging in steel tanks.
On the nose you can smell subtle notes of black and red currants. Lots of freshness on the palate paired with notes of cherries and exotic fruits. Fine and equally edgy, slightly bitter finish round off this rosé perfectly. A rosé that goes particularly well with grilled meat, greasy fish and strong cheese.
2023 Clos Constantin "Polissons" Rouge, Lanquedoc, France 33.99
Pierre Halley and Samuel Durand have presided over the destiny of this small estate in Argelliers, Pierre's birthplace, since 2017. Located in the heart of the garrigue, in the particularly cool southwest corner of the Terrasses du Larzac appellation, the property now comprises 15 hectares, converted to biodynamic farming for the 2023 vintage. These two passionate winemakers immediately found their style: a blend of elegance and energy. The precision of their wines, their great flavor, and their delicate mouthfeel have made them one of the rising stars of the Languedoc. Cépages rouges : Carignan (10%), Cinsault (10%), Grenache noir (40%), Syrah (40%), Polissons displays pure, light, and fluid fruit.
2022 Domaine Simon Capmartin Tannat, Madiran, France $30.99
Certified organic for the best part of a decade, Simon now has his sights firmly set on biodynamic certification. Natural, low-intervention winemaking is the very essence of his approach: vinification with no added sulphur, all wild ferments and a lighter extraction of tannins makes his Madiran Tannat a step apart from the region’s more impenetrable blockbusters.
The Tannat vines age from 40 years old to Prephyloxeric vines. Clay gravel and silicious soils support East and North facing rows of vines. The yield is around 40 to 50 hl/ha. Cover crops are grown under the rows to avoid soil compaction as well as nutrient contribution, alternated by tillage or natural grassing every other row if necessary. Pruning is simple guyot, and some leaves are removed to improve the light under the canopy.
The grapes are destemmed and then pressed half way through the fermentation for less extraction. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation is completed in concrete tanks and then aged for 12 months in tank before bottling.
A supple and fruity red Madiran, greedy and delicate, with supple and beautiful and well integrated tannins.
