The Wines

2024 Ceretto “Blange” Arneis, Langhe, Piedmont, Italy $18.99
This family winery has been producing wines in the Italian hills of Langhe, in Piedmont, since 1936. The Ceretto winery stands out for being an innovator in the region; they were the first to use stainless steel for fermentation, controlling temperature, reducing maceration times and shortening aging. They were also one of the first to mark a new era in Piedmont, by producing white wine using the native Arneis variety.

Ceretto Arneis Blangé comes from vines planted in Roero, an area with sandstone and pebble soils and calcareous loam. With an arid continental climate and the lowest rainfall in Piedmont, this area is ideal for making this white wine. They use organic farming and the harvest is carried out manually when the grapes are quite ripe.

In the winery, the Ceretto Arneis Blangé grapes are carefully selected before beginning the winemaking process. Once pressed, the must is placed in stainless steel tanks and left there to ferment with native yeasts at a controlled temperature to preserve the freshness and fragrances of the native Arneis variety.

Ceretto Arneis Blangé represents a before and after in the world of Piedmont wine. A white wine that honors the prestige of an world-renowned terroir. A fragrant and fresh delight.

2024 Terlato Pinot Grigio, Friuli, Italy $19.99
From the renowned Friuli Colli Orientali DOC, Terlato Vineyards Pinot Grigio boasts the perfect combination of rich expressive fruit, vibrant acidity, and crisp minerality. Nestled in the foothills of the Austrian and Slovenian Alps, the appellation creates a growing region ideal for quality Pinot Grigio production.

Aromas of bright citrus, yellow peach, pear, and spring flowers.  Complex and layered pallate with ripe peach, pear, citrus, and mouth filling texture with a round and crisp mineral finish.

2023 Pasqua “11 Minutes” Rose, Trevenezie, Italy $19.99
The 2023 Rosé 11 Minutes, named for the specific duration of skin contact during pressing, is deeply perfumed and aromatically expressive. Bergamot, rosehip, lavender and blood orange hints are almost potpourri-like in the mouth. The 2023 is a heady and exotic wine that entices with its elegance and vibrancy, finishing with a long, spiced pineapple aftertaste. - 91 Vinous
Winemaker Notes
The Corvina varietal, which dominates in terms of percentage, was chosen forthe floral aromas as well as the significant acidity it gives to the wine. Trebbianobrings elegance and a long finish; Syrah gives fine fruit and spice notes to theglass and finally, Carmenère creates structure, ensuring stability over time. Thisa fresh, enveloping rosé with an intense and complex bouquet, created toaccompany spring or summer evenings and more.

2022 Cesari “Justo” Rosso, Veneto, Italy $15.99
The name Justo comes from a combination of the English word Just and the Italian word Giusto – meaning Right. This wine is an appassimento style wine – the grapes are dried for a short period of time – about 20 days – thereby creating a wine that is “just right”. Fermentation with skin contact occurs for 15 days before being racked into stainless steel tanks for full malolactic fermentation. After a short period resting in the bottle, wine is released and ready to enjoy. This wine has a deep, bright, and intense red color. On the nose, notes of ripe fruit and cherry are evident. A bold structure, yet with a smooth and velvety mouth-feel. It goes perfectly with game, grilled or stewed meat, and very mature cheeses.

2022 Ceretto “Rossana” Dolcetto d’ Alba, Piedmont, Italy $18.99
Notes of spiced red and dark berries with sweet orange peel and bark. Medium-bodied, polished and sleek with dusty tannin structure. Flavorful and fruity.

Winemaker Notes:  It exhibits a classic winemaking approach, capable of enhancing the primary characteristics of this wonderful grape. The exclusive use of steel in the winemaking process does not affect the bouquet, which remains pure and pleasantly vinous, and the particular attention in maceration, deliberately brief, is designed to limit the exuberance of tannins (which are vigorous for Dolcetto).

Rossana is a beautiful planting on the outskirts of Alba, historically recognized as one of the best areas for Dolcetto. This variety allows production of quintessential everyday wines, those that best match the dishes of the rustic Piedmontese cuisine.

2022 Cesari “Mara” Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore, Veneto, Italy $25.99
A blend of grapes led by Corvina, along with a portion of Corvinone and Rondinella, and hints of Molinara from the Valpolicella Classica Region, treated with the traditional “Ripasso” technique.

On the nose, hints of ripe fruit, jam, and cherry immediately emerge, along with persistence. Persistence continues on the palate as it opens up in all its power with a warm and elegant body.
