The Wines
NV Bichot Cremant de Bourgone Rose, Burgundy, France $27.99
Our Crémant de Bourgogne Brut Rosé is crafted from Pinot Noir grapes grown in the Côte Chalonnaise and in the Auxerrois for the Chardonnay grapes.
Each grape variety is vinified separately so preserve the finest qualities that each has to express.
Tasting
Fine, even bubbles. Notes of red berries (blackcurrant, raspberry) and citrus fruit on the nose are followed by a delectable palate, bursting with vivacity and freshness.
2024 Albert Bichot Aligote, Burgundy, France $19.99
Bourgogne Aligoté is an appellation produced throughout Burgundy though it is mostly found in the vineyards around Auxerre, the Côte Chalonnaise and the Hautes Côtes de Beaune and Nuits.
The majority of our grapes come from carefully selected terroirs that yield fresh, mineral wines.
Tasting
Fresh nose featuring scents of white flowers and fruit (apple, pear, lemon…) underscored by a touch of minerality. This wine is fresh and lively on the palate, featuring nice balance and a lovely, refreshing finish.
2024 Albert Bichot Vire-Clesse, Burgundy, France $29.99
The Viré-Clessé appellation, located between Tournus and Mâcon, is the most recent (1999) of the communal appellations of the Mâconnais region. The wine is exclusively crafted from Chardonnay grapes.
The majority of the vineyards are located on the slope where the soil contains limestone white pebbles, known as "cray", which is typical of the Mâconnais region.
Tasting
Very sophisticated nose that combines notes of exotic and citrus fruits with subtle floral aromas (rose). On the palate, this wine presents balanced structure along with pleasant minerality. A touch of sweetness on the finish gives length to the palate.
2023 Albert Bichot Chorey-Les-Beaune, Burgundy, France $68.99
Vin Chicago: 92 Points
(5/2025) Classically-styled Côte de Beaune Pinot Noir here, fragrant, red fruited and elegant in its structure - this will drink nicely in its youth.
James Suckling : 92 Points
(5/27/2025) This well-crafted pinot noir marries surprisingly elegant tannins with ample body on the nicely structured but uncomplicated palate. Generous, moderately dry finish. Plenty of fresh red-fruit aromas with a touch of flowers. Made from purchased grapes. Drink or hold.
2024 Albert Bichot Secret De Famille Cot d'Or, Burgundy, France $49.99
Located in the southern part of the Côte de Beaune, the Chassagne-Montrachet appellation, along with Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet, is part of the prestigious Côte des Blancs and is one of the treasures of Burgundy's viticultural heritage.
Although Chassagne-Montrachet is particularly known for its great white wines, some of its terroirs are better adapted for the cultivation of Pinot Noir grapes.
Tasting
Intense nose with scents of ripe red and black fruit (cherry, raspberry...) are enhanced by smoky nuances, which will evolve toward spicy and slightly animal (leather, musk) notes over time. The palate is fleshy and features lovely minerality that is characteristic of this terroir along with pronounced structure and ripe tannins. The finish is long, pleasant and flavorful.
