NV Bulliat Cremant de Bourgogne Brut Nature, Burgundy, France $25.99
{organic} 100% Chardonnay
CRISP ROME APPLE & KOREAN PEAR, ZESTY CHALK
Ferociously fresh, the Brut Nature bubbly from Beaujolais’s Bulliat excels exceptionally. Made entirely from Chardonnay (as is the case with much Crémant de Bourgogne as well as Champagne further north) and, without even the faintest whisper of sweetness, it’s bone dry while maintaining a rich, mouthfilling ripeness reminiscent of crisp pear and creamy apple. A vibrant mineral component comes through elegantly and athletically on the finish. Pop!
Serving Suggestion: Bite-sized spinach-artichoke quiche w/ fontina & crisp, buttery crust. An hors d’ouvres champion!

2022 Domaine Guillaume Curveux Macon-Fuisse, Burgundy, France $24.99
Grape varieties : 100% Chardonnay
Plot size : 1,25 ha (3 acres)
Average age of the vines : 30-40 years
Aging : 6-8 months in stainless-steel tank / On lees
The Curveux estate has been handed down from father to son since 1931. Located in Southern Burgundy, in the Pouilly Fuissé and Mâcon Fuissé appellations, the vineyard of 8 hectares is now run by the 4th generation of winegrowers, represented by Guillaume. Since 2020, the estate has been able to claim the 1er Cru upgrade on all its Pouilly-Fuissé plots.  Farming philosophy : Sustainable (HVE 3)This wine delivers notes of citrus zest and crisp yellow stone fruits, followed by a medium-bodied, delicately fleshy palate with lively acids, moderate concentration and a nicely defined finish.

2022 Guegen Bourgogne Rose, Burgundy, France $22.99
The Gueguen family lives in Préhy, about 7 km south-west of Chablis. This winery is young, established in January of 2013 by both Céline and Frédéric whom had preivously been working for larger wine estates in Chablis over the course of 15 years. The Gueguen’s are passionate about conservation and respect towards the environment, aiming to create a wine representative of its terroir. Finally, they love sharing their knowledge and estate with their visitors, and have even set up their own Bed and Breakfast.  A delicious rosé made by our Chablis producer. 100% Pinot Noir gently pressed to create this salmon pink rosé. It is really fresh with plenty of cherry notes on the nose.

2019 Bitouzet-Prier Bourgogne Aligote, Burgundy, France $32.99
A committed classicist, Vincent Bitouzet has provided us with over thirty-years worth of structured, demanding, age-worthy, satisfying wines, both red and white, from the heart of the Cote de Beaune. Based in Volnay and blessed with extensive holdings in Meursault as well, this domaine is a tried and true standard bearer for all that is fundamentally good and sound in Burgundy: conscientious and sensitive work in the vineyards, respect above all for the specific character of each lieu-dit, patience and attention to detail in the cellar, and a commitment to producing wines of depth and, of critical importance, longevity. To truly understand great white and red burgundy, one must wait for these grand expressions of terroir to mature to reveal their splendor and spectacular nuance.
Vincent's wife, Annie Prieur, has equally distinguished antecedents. Her family (both Prieurs and Perronnets) was long established in Meursault and Ladoix. The resulting "merger" of the Bitouzet and Prieur family holdings has created a domaine of distinction and breadth.

A very spicy and citrusy nose is comprised mostly by notes of green apple. The almost painfully intense flavors exude a pungent salinity on the wonderfully refreshing finale. Note that this is firm enough to reward a few years of cellaring and if you enjoy aligoté this is one to look for. - Burghound

2020 Clos d'Augustin Bourgogne Rouge, Burgundy, France $19.99
The Pinot Noir grapes used to make Le Clos d’Augustin are selected from pristine vineyards located in the Côte Chalonnaise between the Maconnais region and the Côte d’Or in Burgundy. This cooperative opened in 1928 and was amongst the very first of its kind in Burgundy. Clear, ruby red in the glass, the wine bursts forward with bouquets of red and black berries like blackcurrant, blackberry and gooseberry with just a hint of pepper. Hints of incense and smoke meld into crisp raspberry and red cherry on the palate which are lifted with a slight acidic edge. A lightly tannic structure adds balance and pleasantly persistent finish. Pairs beautifully with traditional Boeuf Bourguignon, herb roasted pork or poultry and soft cheeses such as Brie, Camembert or goat's cheese.

2019 Jeannin-Naltet Mercurey 1er Cru Clos l'Eveque, Burgundy, France $58.99
Benoît Eschard started out as an engineer before he took over the 6th generation family property from his uncle in 2013. The estate was created in 1858 and covers 9 ha of contiguous vineyards exclusively within the Mercurey appellation including 7 ha of Mercurey 1er Cru, including Clos des Grands Voyens, 5 ha as a Monopole.  He has been improving on the viticultural practices in order to reach better maturity and explore each plot’s potential.  With the desire to limit as much as possible the impact of their activity on the environment and its balance.

Grape varieties : 100% Pinot Noir
Plot Size : 1,9 ha (4,69 acres)
Average age of the vines : 50-55 years
The vines from one of the top premier cru vineyards are old but the soil has nourished grapes since before the Romans. Today's old vines give a wine that is rich, generous and full of black-cherry flavors. A streak of minerality adds complexity to this juicy wine.
