2014 Terre Rouge Enigma, California $29.99

(50% Marsanne, 25% Viognier, 25% Roussanne)

Enigma is made from fruit harvested from one vineyard site, Suma Kaw, planted in volcanic soil at an elevation of 3,000 feet in Pleasant Valley area of El Dorado County. The vineyard is on a sweeping North slope.  This high, cool elevation allows us to let the fruit hang for full flavor development while maintaining proper acidity. The grapes are handpicked into small bins and whole-cluster pressed. Fermentation takes place in older French oak barrels.

. Aromas suggest almond blossoms, honey, and acacia with hints of tangerine and papaya. Flavors are creamy with peach, apple, and quince impressions competing for your attention. The finish is crisp with classic white Rhône stone (peach) fruit pit flavors that intermingle with the subtle mineral tones from this rocky site.  Enjoyable young, the wine also gains great complexity with bottle age.

2015 Terre Rouge Tete-a-Tete, Sierra Foothills, California $21.99

Have you had a Tête-à-Tête today? This easy drinking Rhône blend is the perfect wine to have a head to head, or heart to heart conversation with your best friend. This wine drinks like wines from solid Côtes-du-Rhône-Villages vintages.

Tête-à-Tête is our fun easy drinking assemblage of Mediterranean varietals (in 2015 - it’s 39% Grenache, 39% Mourvèdre & 22% Syrah,). We blend it with current drinkability in mind, for drinking both at home and as a restaurant pour. We generally put it together from our younger vines and our more forward tasting barrel lots. This wine drinks like wines from solid Côtes-duRhône-Villages: sappy, spicy, mouth filling, and nuanced. It is an eminently enjoyable everyday bottle. This 2015 has our typically deep boysenberry fruit aromatics, with smoky/meaty/ gamey complex flavor components that emphasize our terroir, and a lengthy creamy texture. Aged for 16 months in a mixture of French barrels. This is a great California wine value!

2016 Easton Amador County Zinfandel, Amador County, California $21.99

This hand-crafted wine is made from grapes harvested in California's famous Amador County, long renowned as one of the best places in the world for distinctive Zinfandel because of its old head-pruned vines, mountain soils, languid blue sky days, and cool summer nights. This Amador County bottling is luscious, fruity, and tinted for current enjoyment both at home and at your favorite restaurant.

From Amador County, Sierra Foothills Easton 2016 Zinfandel is a juicy, savoury, full-bodied Zin. Smoky on the nose and palate, fragrant with strawberry, cherry, plum, and pepper spice flavours with a long and zesty finish. Tannins are velvety. Pair with burgers and ribs from the grill.

2015 Easton Rinaldi Vineyard Zinfandel, California $42.99
Tese old vines barely provide a crop each year. Te vineyard is about as old as they come in
California with vines dating to the original planting in 1865. When you gaze on the vineyard on a
cold Spring day afer the vines have been pruned, the thousands of stout, thickly trunked vines
are not unlike a amorphous Henry Moore sculpture, arms raised, pleading with the heavens for
enough water to grow for another year. Tis vineyard is farmed with simplicity: pruning, plowing,
and finally picking at the perfect time determined by our winemaker. Every year the wines are
different and a revelation. We do not blend this wine with other Zinfandels in our cellar to make a
consistent product. EASTON Fiddletown Zinfandel is always 100% Zinfandel from the Rinaldi
Vineyard. We approach making the wine from this vineyard in much the same way a good
winemaker would approach a grand cru vineyard in Burgundy. We want to reveal what the fruit
has to offer each year in all of its purity; not obscure it. Tis 2015 has thick brambly blackberry
fruit with pepper, anise, clove, and other exotic spices.

2015 Easton Cabernet Sauvignon Estate, Shenandoah Valley, California $55.99

We are very close to sold out on this wonderful 2014 Cabernet, which will be our last vintage from this Shenandoah Valley vineyard.

This distinctive wine originates from one of the estate vineyards surrounding our winery. These mountain vines produce intensely-flavored fruit that creates a rich, complex, elegant wine. Extended aging in the finest French oak. followed by bottle aging, adds further refinement and intricacy.

2017 Terre Rouge Syrah Les Gles De L'Oust, California $24.99

This is the nineteenth vintage of our Les Côtes de l’Ouest Syrah. It is made from fruit grown (about 60% of the blend) at a superb vineyard site that is planted in the hills just west of the Amador County line, just a few miles from the Mokelumne River in Clements Hills (a new Lodi sub-appellation).

It is blended with our mountain Syrah (the remaining 40% of the blend) grown at several other sites. We chose theses sites because of their impeccable vineyard management (some of which we farm) and their flavor compatibility

This 2017 vintage has beautiful color with rich, silky, wild raspberry fruit flavors laced with pepper, sage, tar, and olive/herb tones. Aromas are raspberry, smoky, wild gamey, peppery, and cinnamon. The wine has a clean purity of Syrah fruit that is reminiscent of many St. Joseph’s and other Northern Rhone's. It has forward fruit flavors and great acid balance. It is very smooth and savory in the mouth.
