NV Ferrandiere Methode Traditionelle Brut, Limoux, France $16.99
This méthode traditionnelle wine comes from Limoux (first place to make sparkling wine- yes, before Champagne), though you won’t find the sparkling wine appellation, Crémant de Limoux on the label (because it’s 100% Chardonnay). What that means in the glass, is a TON of deliciousness at a steal of a price. Think of this as your wedding/party/any sort of fizzy wine occasion when breaking out pricey bubbly doesn't make sense. On the palate, the sparkling wine delivers a nicely creamy mouth feel, fresh lemon and sliced apple fruit, a touch of toast and a crisp, dry, finish. In essence; small bubbles, fun flavors, great price.
2022 Domaine Raphael Luneau Muscadet Brin D`R, Loire Valley, France $16.99
The Luneau family have been making wine since 1680, passing down their estate from father to son for nine generations. They are in the town of Le Landreau, southeast of Nantes, where they produce Muscadet Sèvre et Maine sur Lie and Gros Plant sur Lie. Raphaël has overseen the 30 hectares of vines since 2010, following his father Rémy. The estate’s name refers to the initials of both the father and the son, who worked together during almost twenty years.
Luneau’s Brin d’R Muscadet — 100% Melon de Bourgogne — pours a pale yellow tinged with light green. Aromas of Granny Smith apple, pear and honeydew intertwine with white flowers and wet stone. The palate displays a delicious combination of tropical and tree fruits balanced by a zippy, yet delicate, acidity and a wonderful saline minerality. The finish is crisp and refreshing. A delightful companion to seafood… Oysters are the obvious pairing, though this Muscadet will pair well with steamed clams with wine, butter and parsley or Dungeness crab salad.
2023 Domaine Michel Macon-Villages Blanc, Burgundy, France $28.99
From sixth generation Burgundy winemakers, we love this Chardonnay because it is fresh and mineral-tinged while having a rounder, balanced texture to it. This white Burgundy is dry, but the fruit is ripe and gives richness, offering flavors of candied apple, sweet apple and peach. There is a touch of smoke and lemon pith balancing the orchard notes. The texture is round and dense. Fermented in stainless steel with partial malolactic fermentation, this wine is an incredible value that you don't see much of anymore!
2023 Domaine Rochette Reggie Rouge, Beaujolais, France $18.99
Variety: Cabernet Franc
Vinification: Pressed with whole clusters, settled for 24 hours and racked, 21-day ambient yeast fermentation in stainless steel tanks between 19°C and 21°C, blocked malolactic conversion (blocked by SO2 and low temperature), aged for 6 months in stainless steel tanks, tangential flow filtration, 20-30 ppm SO2 added after pressing and adjusted after fermentation and before bottling if needed (60 ppm total, 20 ppm free), bottled April 2025.
2021 Chateau De Cerons Graves Rouge, Bordeaux, France $33.99
This Left Bank blend from Cerons' gravelly plateau presents a deep ruby core with garnet rim. The sophisticated nose layers cassis, cedar pencil, and sous bois aromas. The medium-bodied palate offers flavors of black cherry, tobacco leaf, and graphite framed by polished tannins - a classic claret profile that earned 92 points. A blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot aged 16 months in French oak, this 13.5% alcohol wine finishes with elegant restraint. Decant for herb-crusted lamb or age another 3-5 years to reveal additional complexity.
2020 Chateau Fortia Chateauneuf-Du-Pape Tradition Rouge, Rhone Valley, France $47.99
92 Points Wine Spectator
Supple and engaging, with steeped cherry and cassis melded with ganache and woodsy savory bass notes. Grilled orange peel–edged acidity brings good energy to the warm, ripe profile, while a refreshing menthol note marks the nicely melded close. Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah. Drink now through 2030. 8,000 cases made, 800 cases imported.
Winemaker Note
Pretty purple color with bluish reflections. The first nose is spicy then powerfully fruity and ripe: strawberry jam and raspberry coulis. The mouth is unctuous and velvety. Very ample and greedy. The tannins are chiselled. The finish is very jammy, with a hint of mint that brings back a little tonicity and freshness. The blend dominated by Grenache has remained practically unchanged since its creation and it boasts all the treasures and mythical taste of a great Châteauneuf-du-pape wine. Conceived, cherished and produced by our founding father, Baron le Roy de Boiseaumarié , it delights the lovers of our appellation.
