2022 Muri-Gries Pinot Bianco, Alto Adige, Italy $21.99
Intensive, multi-layered aroma of ripe apples with an exotic touch of citrus fruit, some nut and spicy notes of white pepper.  Full-bodied, racy and elegant, with a creamy texture, salty and mineral, harmonious and inviting, long, juicy and fresh finish.
The grapes for our Pinot Bianco grow at an altitude of 420 - 500 m in the sun-blessed vineyards of Appiano. They offer optimum conditions for our vines, which are up to 30 years old: chalk gravel soils and a southeast exposition. IN THE CELLAR After temperature-controlled fermentation of the must in stainless steel tanks at 19°C for one week, the wine is aged 80% in stainless steel and 20% in 30 hl wooden barrels for 5 months.
MURI-GRIES has a wine-growing tradition that goes back over centuries. Our vineyards in and around Bolzano have been on monastery land for over a century and our monastery winery is completely integrated in the abbey

100% Carricante from vineyards in Castiglione di Sicilia
720-750 meters elevation.  20 to 25-year-old vines.  Alluvial and clay-rich volcanic soils.  24-hour cold maceration.  Fermentation in temperature-controlled tank.  Aging sur lie exclusively in stainless steel for 6 months prior to bottling.
"Bright and aromatic, this offers exotic fruit character with hints of dried flowers, spices and stones. Medium-bodied, juicy and lightly saltine with a dry, mineral-driven finish. Carricante." James Suckling

2023 Pascal Aufranc Chenas En Remont, Beaujolais, France $25.99
100% Gamay. Vines over 80 years old.

Dark berries, cherry liqueur and candied licorice on the powerful, spice- accented nose. Open-knit and fleshy in style, offering spice-laced bitter cherry and cassis flavors and a smoky mineral nuance that expands with air. A subtle floral pastille note comes in on the gentle tannic finish, which lingers with resonating dark berry and floral character and strong, mineral- driven tenacity.

In his peaceful stone house on top of the “En Rémont” hill at 350 meters high Pascal Aufranc cultivate his tiny 10 hectares estate divided between Juliénas and Chénas. The isolation of his vineyard, surrounded by woods and fields, allows him to favor environment friendly practices in order to let his Terroir speak. His vines planted before WWII broke out, provide us with the deepest expression of this fascinating Terroir.

2023 Brun Avril Cotes du Rhone, Rhone Valley, France $29.99
The Côtes du Rhône rouge is a blend of 60% Grenache and 40% Syrah. The vineyards are located between Orange and Jonquières, northeast of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, with clay-calcareous soil. The vines are average 35 years in age for the Grenache and 50 years for the Syrah. Exposure to the mistral wind ensures healthy and concentrated grapes. The grapes are harvested by hand, and vinification is carried out in concrete and steel tanks for six weeks, using indigenous yeasts. The temperature is kept low during fermentation. Punch-downs and pump-overs are practiced to gently extract aromas and tannins. The wine is matured for 12 months in 600-liter demi-muids.

A classic expression of a Southern Rhône blend, showing ripe red fruit along with notes of garrigue. Medium bodied, with moderate tannins and acidity, making it easy to drink with foods ranging from mezze such as smoky eggplant dip and falafel to roasted vegetables and meats.
