Award-winning Napa Valley Wines
We grow our wines by hand, with reverence and gratitude, striving to bring forth deeply flavorful wines that are refreshing, complement food, and are moderate in alcohol.

We cherish familiar varieties like Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon as much as we prize rare varieties like Ribolla Gialla or Refosco — in all cases classical, delicious, singular expressions that we hope honor their origin and enhance your table.

The Wines

2023 Matthiasson Cressido Vineyard Vermentino, Napa Valley, California $37.99
Made from organic grapes that grow right behind our home in Napa, this beautifully balanced Chardonnay is fresh and vivacious with the perfect amount of luscious creaminess.

Zesty Meyer lemon combines with ripe Golden Delicious apples, yellow peaches, musk melon, and honey to deliver a beautifully balanced Chardonnay with a clean finish and haunting minerality.

2023 Matthiasson Linda Vista Chardonnay, Napa Valley, California $42.99
The final blend is composed of eight different harvest dates, with the range of lots allowing us to achieve complexity, completeness, and balance. The earlier harvests contribute acidity and minerality, and the later harvests contribute body and richness.

We gently whole-cluster press all of the grapes, then ferment and age the wine on the lees in seasoned French oak barrels (no oak flavor), with only native yeast. No racking and minimal batonnage (lees stirring) on only selected barrels. 1/3 of the barrels were allowed to go through malolactic fermentation. The moderate alcohol and mouthwatering acidity that is a trademark of that vineyard is very much present, balanced by a ripe, luscious creaminess.

The vines were originally planted in 1989, and we’re proud to take our turn caring for them as the vineyard reaches a true maturity.

2024 Matthiasson Schioppettino Matthiasson Vineyard, Napa Valley, California $64.99
An ancient and very rare Italian variety, Schioppettino has become a tasting room and wine club favorite. Our team says Schioppettino tastes as if Pinot Noir and Syrah had a baby, with its aromatic nose of violets and red berries and earthy, spicy flavors on the palate.

Fascinating flavors of white and black pepper and cedar combine with delicate flowers and ripe raspberries. This is incredibly fresh and low in alcohol, with a stony minerality underlying cooling flavors. It has tons and tons of flavor yet is feather-light on the palate, with a very refreshing and clean finish.

The Schioppettino represents two rows of our home Matthiasson Vineyard in the western Oak Knoll area of Napa Valley. The vines were planted in 1996, and we grafted the mature vines over to Schioppettino in 2010. CCOF certified organic, with fruit trees at the ends of the rows and flowering bushes throughout for “good bug” habitat, the vines are serenaded throughout the season by coyotes, owls, bees, and the occasional hum of one of our fully electric Monarch tractors.

The grapes were destemmed and crushed, then fermented in one small stainless steel tank. We did a mixture of manual punch-downs and pump-overs, then aged the wine in neutral Burgundy barrels for ten months.

2022 Matthiasson "Village" Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley, California $54.99
Matthiasson is known for crafting elegant, old-school Napa wines that prioritize balance over power, and the Village Cabernet Sauvignon perfectly reflects this philosophy. Sourced from cooler vineyard sites, this 2022 bottling is inspired by the approachable, bistro-style Cabs of the past—fresh, vibrant, and designed for versatility rather than sheer opulence.

Blackberry, cassis, and plum lead, accented by notes of dried herbs, graphite, and subtle spice. The palate is medium-bodied and structured, with bright acidity and finely grained tannins keeping everything lifted and refreshing. A Cabernet that drinks beautifully young but will evolve gracefully, it pairs effortlessly with grilled meats, roasted vegetables, or a simple weeknight steak frites. A throwback to when Napa Cabs were about elegance as much as power

The 2022 Village Cab is a blend of wines from multiple vineyards throughout Napa Valley, from Calistoga down to Carneros, all of which were organically farmed. As with all of our Cabernet Sauvignon, the fruit was hand harvested in small lots and fermented with native yeast. It was punched down or pumped over only twice per day; we don’t strive for a high rate of extraction, instead choosing to preserve the freshness and high-toned aromatics. The wine was aged for 20 months in mostly used barrels with a few new barrels included for spice — it is a Napa Valley Cabernet after all.

Matthiasson Vermouth #8, Napa Valley, California $51.99
This is the 8th edition of our much-loved Sweet Vermouth, made with infusions of our own home-grown blood oranges, sour cherries, wormwood and cardoons, along with coriander seed, cinchona bark and blessed thistle. The result is a highly complex, aromatic vermouth that makes a great cocktail, but our favorite way to enjoy it is as a spritzer with a twist, or “neat" as an aperitif or with dessert.

Complex spices and herbal notes of mint, fennel, clove, and nutmeg on the nose give way to orange zest, pine, fig and cherry cola on the palate with a lightly bitter finish.
