2025 Mary Taylor (Sofia Brescia) Bianco Frizzante, Veneto, Italy $15.99
Blend: 60% Glera, 40% Garganega
Taste: Citrus, Asian pear, Acacia honey, Jasmine, and a touch of sea salt all grace the nose and palate of this charming frizzante. This white wine is absolutely lovely and fresh, the ‘frizzante’ element of the wine expresses itself as a light spritz in the glass, and it’s just absolutely perfect for an end of the day “pick-me-up” or a weekend brunch.
Pairing: Alone as an aperitif, alongside appetizers, and next to dishes that are slightly spicy or salty.
About. From the foothills of the Alps on the east side of the province of Vicenza, vineyards planted upwards of 30 years ago bear fruit of the Glera and Garganega grapes. The winery works sustainably, and in concert with the local eco-system. Grasses and flowers grow between the rows. Sofia Brescia is a name given to honor to previous generation of wine growers, many of who were women that have been forgotten by historical naming conventions.
NV Domaine Francoise McKulski Cremant de Bourgogne, Burgundy, France $52.99
50% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay, 15% Aligote
From vines in Meursault and Rully. Hand harvested. Fermented and aged in stainless steel. .Aged on the lees for 18 months
Our Crémant is produced by our sparkling-wine-maker based on a blend of 37% Pinot Noir grapes, 41% Chardonnay, 15% Aligoté and 7% Gamay.
Traditional wine-making method :
Harvested by hand in small, perforated crates, the grapes remain whole and intact so that the different-quality first and second pressing juices (cuvée and taille) can be separated into fractions, thus avoiding the risk of oxidation. They are pressed in a pneumatic press, following strict proportions: 150kg of pressed grapes must give a maximum of 100 litres of musts. The juice ferments in stainless steel tanks, after settling naturally for around 24 hours.
Once the alcoholic and malolactic fermentation achieved, basis wines are blended, bottled and sealed with crown caps, with an adding of sugar and yeasts, to have a third bottle fermentation occur, that will produce CO2 and what we call “Prise de Mousse”. Then, bottles are stored horizontally in our cellars and will age on lees during at least 12 months at a regulated temperature between 12 and 15°C.
2024 Noblesse Bandol Blanc, Provence, Franc $34.99
Created by Agnès Negrel and Eugène Pignatel in the 1930’s, Château de la Noblesse has belonged to the same family for 6 generations. Originally just a country house with unused land, the family planted vine in 1959 to produce wines under the Bandol appellation.
Today, the 5th and 6th generations, Agnès Cades and her daughter Eloïse, manage the estate together.
The property is a single-vineyard of approximately 14 hectares. It benefits from maximum sunshine and very little rain.
Grape varieties : 60% Clairette, 30% Ugni blanc, 10% Rolle
Plot size : 0,6 ha (1,48 acres)
Average age of the vines : 20-25 years
North East facing
Elevation : 120 m (390 ft)
Soils : Clay limestone
2024 Noblesse Bandol Rose, Provence, Franc $34.99
Château de la Noblesse is one of the quietly great, traditional estates of Bandol. With three generations now actively working the property, they embody how families—rooted in place over decades—become part of a region’s intrinsic terroir. Their rosé has been one of our most beloved Direct Imports for years, earning a devoted following for good reason. The 2024 Noblesse Rosé shows vibrant red currant, white peach, and red plum, finishing with a succulent, stony mineral intensity. It’s gorgeous right now—layered, savory, and structured enough to pair with richer holiday fare—but it will only improve as it settles over the next year or two. In short: Bandol rosé isn’t just a summer wine. It’s a late-season classic, built for the holidays and beyond—and Noblesse remains one of the best values in the region to prove it.
2024 Luigi Giordano Vino Rosso, Piedmont, Italy $22.99
The addition of a little Arneis to this Nebbiolo gives this wine a great aromatic "lift" and allows more drinkability and suppleness to come through. This floral red-fruited wine has tones of chrysanthemum, raspberry and baking spices. Perfection with pastas of all sorts, red meats, pork and poultry, this is as versatile a red as you'll find.
2024 Envinate Albahra Vinos Mediterraneos, Spain $32.99
This wine is made of around 70% Garnacha Tintorera (aka Alicante Bouschet) and 30% Moravia Agria, and a tiny percentage of old vine Pardillo and young Garnacha. The wine has mouthwatering acidity, grippy tannins, and a palate of earthy dark berries, perfect for food. We would pair this with Mojo marinated flank steak tacos. The Moravia Agria (a high-acid, low alcohol blending grape) is from a single vineyard on sandy clay-calcareous soils in neighboring Manchuela, which is pruned to get larger grapes, since there is only around 50 hectares, left in Spain. The grapes are fermented separately in concrete and French barriques, with minimal sulfites added.
