The Wines

2023 Domaine Fief Noir Anjou Blanc L`Echappee, Loire Valley, France $28.99
A bright, young Chenin Blanc from the same Loire Valley team behind Cartelles. L'Échappée ('the escape') comes from 25-year-old vines on sandy clay-gravelly soils over slate. Where Cartelles is aged in stoneware jars for texture and depth, l'Échappée is fermented and aged entirely in stainless steel with indigenous yeast—preserving maximum freshness and snap. Certified organic. Six months in tank before bottling

2025 Domaine De Figueirasse Gris De Gris Rose, Sable de Camargue, France $19.99
The Camargue’s long, slow sunset seems to melt into the Mediterranean, its salmon-pink hue pouring into azure off the coast. This delicious moment is what Domaine de Figueirasse’s Gris de Gris is all about—so much so that if the notion of “terroir” seemed previously obscure to you, one glass is all you will need to become a believer.
For more than a century, the Saumade family has tended vines on the sandy shores of the Camargue delta in the south of France. The sea is but 200 yards from the edge of the vineyards. The influence of the moist, sea-salty air helps keep vines healthy, which is why organic viticulture here is as natural as the tides and the call of seabirds overhead.

Gris de Gris des Sables is a particular style of rosé wine made especially in the Camargue, a blend of red grapes such as Grenache and Cinsault, pressed gently to extract a delicate, pale salmon color. Crisp and bright, with citrus-inspired acidity mixing with tangy red berry fruit, Gris de Gris doesn’t just signal the start of summer—it may have inspired the season in the first place.

NV Sarrazin Cremant De Bourgogne Brut, Burgundy, France $47.99
92 points Wilfred Wong of Wine.com
COMMENTARY: When I tasted the Domaine Sarrazin Crémant de Bourgogne Brut, I stopped in my tracks, paused a moment, and reflected in the beauty of this AOC. TASTING NOTES: This wine is beautiful. Its aromas and flavors of apples and chalk combined with its racy finish make me want to head to the nearest oyster bed and shuck a few bivalves. (Tasted: September 23, 2019, San Francisco, CA)

Winemaker Notes
The wine offers aromas of wildflowers, blood orange, and a hint of white pepper, with a refreshing, well-bodied palate featuring flavors of citrus, light toast, and summer berries, and pairs well with French ham or other charcuterie, soft-rind cheeses, or can be enjoyed on its own as an aperitif.

Blend: 90% Pinot Noir, 10% Aligoté

2023 Domaine Gerard Raphet "Les Grands Champs" Bourgogne Rouge, Burgundy, France $42.99
Winemaker Notes: Aromas of autumn leaves, cinnamon, cloves, red berries. Flavors of pomegranate jam, blood oranges, red cherries.

The wines of Gérard Raphet are a Burgundy lover’s Burgundy. While the wine’s color in the glass is a delicate ruby, aromas and flavors surprise with their forceful intensity. This contrast often catches the uninitiated off guard, yet it is part of the attraction and seduction of these limited and highly sought-after wines.

Indeed of all our Burgundy partners, Raphet inspires the most emotion when trying to describe what exactly makes these wines so captivating. Raphet Burgundy surprises and delights; it opens the possibilities of what great, old-vine Burgundy can do, and just how intimate and special that experience can be.

2022 Mas De Gourgonnier Rouge Les Baux, Provence, France $27.99
This storied domaine, run with passion and skill by Luc, Eve, and Lucienne Cartier, has been farming and making wine organically for decades. Their gorgeous property in the beautiful countryside appellation of Les Baux de Provence yields powerful expressions of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre, Carignan, and more – not to mention olives (their oil is one of France’s finest), and incredible fruit and vegetables. Luc and Lucienne’s wines combine the richness and intensity of top Rhone or Bordeaux with a crystal-clear and unmistakable expression of Provençal soil. They set themselves apart even further from the pack with the eye-grabbing rustic, squat bottle used for their unbelievably great-value red.
